湖南湘菜

Home-style Chinese cooking

Welcome to Mrs Ding’s, where you can enjoy the delicious taste of Hunan-style Chinese food in the heart of Botany.

Cooked with authentic flavours, fresh ingredients and lots of love, you can experience a true taste of Hunan in every bite.

The Story of

Mrs. Ding

Our restaurant takes its name from our wonderful head chef and co-proprietor, Mrs Ding.

Born and raised in Hunan, Mrs Ding learnt her cooking techniques and traditional recipes from her mother and grandmother. In her move to Australia, her cooking lost none of its authenticity: the generous home-style dishes she cooks are pure Hunan cuisine to nourish the body and soul.

Paying homage to Hunan’s unique food tradition every time she steps into her kitchen, Mrs Ding’s family-style signature dishes include Chairman Mao’s favourite braised pork, pepper chili mud crab and house-smoked meats, among many others.
